A Maldivian athlete will be taking part in the Asian Grand Prix for the first time. The athlete is number one sprinter in the Maldives Hassan Saaid.
Hassan Saaid and his coach Ahmed Faail has left for China to take part in the tournament. The tournament will be held in China and Taiwan on 24, 27 and 30th of this month. Saaid will compete in the 100-meter sprint event.
This is an annual tournament held for top level athletes in Asia by Asian Athletics Association. The first lag of the tournament will be held on 24thApril in Jin Hua of China. The second lag will be held on 27th April in Jiazin of China. The final lag will be held on 30th April in Taipei, Taiwan.
19 Asian countries will be taking part in the tournament. In the 100 meter even 12 athletes from 10 countries will compete.
