The affairs of the country are on the wrong path when politicians are considered more dangerous than criminals: Dr.Mausoom

Former Tourism Minister and Former MP for Kelaa constituency Dr.Abdullah Mausoom have said that the affairs of the country are on the wrong path when politicians are considered more dangerous than criminals.

He said that, remanding Qasim Ibrahim to 15 days in police detention is worrisome because major criminals have been remanded for less number of days. Dr.Mausoom said that Qasim has assured that he will go to the court whenever he is summoned and hence such a person should not be detained. In addition, Maumoom said that the case should be sent to the trial after the investigation is complete and once PG files the charges, he cannot be arrested again for investigation.

Dr.Mausoom said that the whole country is now in chaos. He said that even the actions taken by politicians within the boundaries of the law are looked through a different perspective and are being prosecuted.
