Indian business expo to be held from 27th to 29th of April. The purpose of the expo is to gain more market for Indian products in Maldives and to foster trade relations between Maldives and India. A top business delegation from India will visit Maldives for the expo.
Sources say that Indian products will be displayed at the expo. The head of the Indian delegation will be Chairman of Federation of Indian Export Organization, A.Sakthiveyl. Various representatives from businesses will visit Maldives with him.
Business relations between Maldives and India has been growing in the past few years. In 2015 183 million dollars of trade were conducted between the two countries while 159 million dollars of trade was done between April 2016 to January 2017.
Indian investments have started increasing in Maldives in recent years. Even now there are Indian companies active in construction and the tourism sector.
