What we see today is the result of creating unrest: Should take responsibility - President Yameen


President Yameen have said that what we see today in the society is the result of creating unrest in the past 15 years. He said that those who do this should take responsibility of that.

He made this statement while speaking at a ceremony held to mark the 125th anniversary of Maldivian National Defence Force. President said that the country becomes turbulent because of the rivalries among politicians. He said that, the politicians prioritize their personal interest rather than national interest..

He said that even before similar problems occurred in the Maldives and today we see history being repeated. He said that even people who served in the highest positions of the state are involved in creating unrest.
In addition, the president said that all politicians condemn the killing of blogger Yameen Rasheed. He said that today we see that safety is not ensured in the living environment. The president said that some state institutions should ask for forgiveness regarding some issues but he will not blame them. He said that those who call to create chaos in the country are also responsible.

He said that crimes should be investigated and that that the institutions are doing that. The president said that even though there are crimes that cannot be solved and all the countries face this problem. He said that however, in a small country like Maldives where everyone is familiar with each other crimes should be solved. He acknowledged that there are challenges in solving crimes and that the government is working on it.

President condemned the killing of blogger Yamin, abduction of Rilwan and killing of Dr.Afrasheem in tonight’s speech.
