Qasim Ibrahim’s legal team have stated that they have received information that there is a plot to frame Qasim after planting two guns in a location that is owned by Qasim.
Qasim’s lawyers released a statement revealing information about the case.
According to the statement, an unidentified man approached Qasim in front of his house and informed Qasim that he is going to be framed after planning two guns in a location that is owned by Qasim. The man told Qasim that he will be charged with terrorism after planting the guns. He also showed pictures of the gun from his phone to Qasim.
Qasim’s legal team said that they have now shared details of the plot to Maldives Police Service, Defense Ministry, and PG.
Qasim is currently in police detention regarding an ongoing investigation.
