Pakistan and Maldives has agreed to strengthen relations in various sectors. Foreign Minister of Maldives Dr.Mohamed Asim met with Foreign Affairs Advisor to the PM of Pakistan, Sartaj Aziz in Islamabad and held discussions regarding the affairs of South Asia.
Dr.Asim and Sartaj Aziz discussed the good relations enjoyed by both countries with each other. The Foreign Affairs advisor noted that the relations between Pakistan and Maldives are based on mutual respect and common interests.
In addition, he observed that there is room for further cooperation between Maldives and Pakistan in the fields of culture, education, tourism, and sports. He also assured that Pakistan will continue to provide training and education opportunities to Maldives.
Foreign Minister Asim thanked the government of Pakistan for their readiness to help whenever Maldives needs help. He noted that the cooperation in terms of culture and education will strengthen the relations between the two countries.
