MACI have stated that, membership companies are able to conduct projects at a fast pace with huge assistance from STO.
Speaking at the “Occupational Safety and Health Conference” held at Champa Central to mark world day for safety and health at work, the president of MACI, Muhammad Ali Jinah said that members of MACI are provided with required materials by STO and that helps in the development of the companies.
Janaah said that STO always provides assistance to MACI when needed and organizing an occupational safety conference will also benefit the whole industry. “Shaheer always attends to whatever we request and he is always ready to help MACI” said Janaah.
Janaah said that member companies of MACI should also work responsibly instead of asking for government assistance all the time. Janaah said that MACI have also formed a set of regulations for these companies to follow.
He also said that the construction act will bring further developments. Jinaah said that the companies need a little bit of courage to upgrade safety requirements up to international standards. He said that Maldivians are skilled and that Maldivians started developing resorts without knowing much. He said that however, even foreigners get consultancy form Maldivians in that sector.
Janaah thanked President Yameen for the work he is doing to develop the construction industry.
