Deputy Leader of JP, Abdullah Riyaz have said that the situation of the country will improve when the thinking of the parliament members change.
Abdullah Riyaz said that it is the parliament members who should take responsibilities regarding national issues. He said that hence the members should have a nation first approach.
Riyaz said that the political parties are funded by the state for a reason and hence the parties should be able to operate freely. In addition, Riyaz said that the government should respect the views of political parties and parties should get equal opportunities.
“I believe that the first Vice President of this administration was removed unlawfully. The second Vice President was also removed because the government wanted it. When this was done, no institution found anything wrong with it. However, when the opposition tries to remove the speaker of the parliament in accordance with the laws, it has become a problem. I do not believe that this is just” said Riyaz
Riyaz said that the opposition does not intend to bring a regime change but they want to reforms and to right the wrongs. He said that the president still has that option.
