Deputy Leader of JP, Ameen Ibrahim have said that the government repossessed Elaa, an island rented to Villa Group for tourism purposes because the government has no intention of being sincere to the people.
He said that Qasim Ibrahim has the good intention of serving the people and the country but the government does not and hence the island was repossessed even though Villa was paying the rent regularly.
Ameen said that Elaa was repossessed not because Villa violated terms of the agreement and the court order says that Villa does not have good intentions. Ameen said that this intention the government is talking about should be made clear.
In addition, Ameen said that the government’s intention is not serving the people sincerely but Qasim’s intention is serving the people sincerely.
Furthermore, Ameen said that the government has the intention of promoting corruption. He said that no matter what, Qasim will not have this intention.
