A detention is not required to investigate acts that are done openly: Sameer
Secretory General of JP, Ahmed Sameer have said that a detention is not required to investigate acts that are done openly.

Sameer said that usually people are detained to gather information on acts that are done in secret. “There is no evidence that Qasim did anything secretly. Police have not found evidence. That is because he has not done anything like that. How can they find evidence on something that never happened” questioned Sameer.

Furthermore, Sameer said that the constitution clearly states that those suspected of crimes can only be detained after obtaining evidence, and no one can be detained to obtain evidence.

Sameer said that he is sure that the judges will be just and free Qasim. “There is no reason to detain Qasim. I am sure that the judges can believe this too” said Sameer.
