Don’t think that there will be major misconducts in the election : President Yameen
President Yameen have said that he doesn’t think that there will be major misconducts in the ongoing local council elections all over the country.

Speaking to the press after casting the vote, the president said that he does not believe that there will be any major misconduct in the election and if there are any, there will be huge problems. “if anything is to happen then it shall be attended. We do not think only about what the international community will say but even the Maldivians will not accept misconducts in the election” said the president.

In addition, he said that he does not believe that there will be unrest after voting and votes are casted to see what most people want. “Sometimes such things happen but I do not think that there should be unrest after a vote. In a democracy, a vote will show what the people wants. The people will vote based on the candidates and based on the relation between the parties and them. Hence I do not think that there will be any problems” said the president.
