Aasandha is not administered by PPM : Zameer

Deputy Leader of PPM, and Tourism Minister Moosa Zameer said that the national health insurance scheme Aasandha is not administered by PPM.

Zameer made this statement when a journalist asked him about the recent policy changes of Aasandha. New changes include discontinuing Aasandha coverage from privately owned healthcare institutions.

Zameer said that Aasandha is administered by a special board created for that and if anyone has questions regarding that, the questioned should be directed to the board of Aasandha. A lot of people are concerned about the decision made by Aasandha, especially since the decision was made just after the government lost all the seats in Male’ and Addu city council.

Deputy Leader of JP Ameen Ibrahim tweeted saying that Aasandha should not be discontinued just because they did not vote for the government.
