Qasim Ibrahim taken to Dhoonidhoo after today’s hearing
JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim has been taken back to Dhoonidhoo after today’s hearing. Qasim is being kept in a 6 by 8 feet small cell in Dhoonidhoo.

Speaking to the press after today’s trial Qasim’s lawyer Hisaan Hussein said that among the three charges against Qasim, today’s trial was regarding the charge brought under article 510 and 511 of the constitution.

Hisaan said that the PG lawyers gave some response to the question posed by Qasim’s lawyers regarding the charges brought up under article 511. She said that the PG lawyers requested for more time to answer the questions regarding article 510.

Hisaan said that today’s hearing ended without deciding a day for the next hearing.

IT ia worthy to note that when Qasim’s lawyers request for time to answer, Judges always give a time frame to answer.

A lot of people protested around the criminal court when Qasim’s trial was going on. They were calling to free Qasim Ibrahim.
