MP for Feridhoo constituency Hussein Muhammad have said that if the police do their job properly there will be huge changes in the criminal justice system.
Speaking about the ongoing police investigations on JP parliament members and their Leader Qasim Ibrahim for trying to get 42 parliament members to the opposition coalition, MP Hussein said that the cases police should investigate are already identified.
He said that the police will know very well the number of parliament members who got elected with a JP ticket and the number of parliament members remaining as JP members. He said that hence, police should investigate why these MPs left JP.
Speaking about the police investigations on JP MPs for lobbying, Hussen said that there is no law, against lobbying and if there is such a law police should inform him about it. Furthermore, he said that whoever requests , the police should always follow the constitution and the relevant laws when detaining someone.
He said that if police act in accordance with the law, a lot of problems in the society will be solved.
