STO has decided to introduce a special portal for shareholders of the company. The portal will be introduced during the annual general assembly of the company held on 30th May.
Speaking to the press at the head office of STO, the MD of STO Ahmed Shaheer said that even though initially the portal will be targeted for shareholders, in future the portal will be expanded to vendors of STO and all other parties working with STO in different levels. Shaheer said that shareholders can check all the necessary information using the portal including information of dividends. He said that the portal will make it easy to obtain information and to conduct transactions with STO.
Shaheer said that this will benefit the company in numerous ways. He said that companies who are interested in doing business with STO and customers will also benefit from this portal. He also said that the feedback of shareholders and the general public is important to STO and it will help the company to develop.
This portal will be the first of its kind to be used by a public company in the Maldives.
