JP Leader Qasim was freed after ‘locking up’ political activities. Also, no more political activities can be held at his own premises M. Kunooz.
The court freed Qasim with 7 conditions and people are concerned about the conditions related to spread hatred. Hatred cannot be measured. Just saying that the government did something can be considered as hatred if the government wants to do it. Hence people are saying now they are in need of a list to see who and who is spreading hatred.
The government says that everything the opposition say is messages of hatred. However local council elections prove that the public does not accept this.
Since Qasim has been conditioned not to meet anyone who creates hatred and also asked not to allow anyone to do anything of that sort in any premises owned by Qasim, it is unlikely that the opposition rallies can be held at Kunooz.
Some government officials have said that foreign ambassadors of some countries also spread hatred and hence now Qasim cannot meet them either.
The 7 conditions by the court on freeing Qasim
1. Cooperating with the investigation
2. Not to leave the country without the written permission from the police
3. Not to hold meetings with who spread hatred and incite violence in the society
4. Not to try to hide or influence the evidence in the case
5. Not to spread messages of hatred
6. Not to allow other people to use Qasim’s properties to spread messages of hatred
7. Not to talk about the three branches of the state in a manner that will create hatred towards them among the public
