Deputy Leader of JP, Ameen Ibrahim have stated that JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim is not free and the court just changed his place of detention.
Ameen said that Qasim was just changed from Dhoonidhoo to his house and even for that he is happy for it since Qasim can breath and meet his family members. He also thanked the government for saving Qasim from the small cell of Dhoonidhoo.
Ameen said that spreading hatred can be interpreted in anyway and the government interprets in however they want it.
He said that Qasim Ibrahim is a political leader and political leaders should be able to meet whoever they want whenever they want. In addition, he said that politicians should be able to hold discussions and talk at political rallies.
Furthermore, Ameen said that the 7 conditions set by the court today prevents Qasim from doing any of these things and hence Qasim does not have the rights a political leader should have.
Ameen said that even if Qasim is prevented from doing these things and even if Kunooz is closed the work started by the opposition will not stop and they will work however they can and reform the nation.
