Indian Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra suggests that besides traditional crafts and food processing, Maldivian women entrepreneurs should focus on new, emerging, high-value areas such as IT, financial services, media, art & culture, films, fashion technology, design, interior decoration, etc.
Speaking to Miadhu News Indian Ambassador Akhilesh Mishra and his wife Reeti Mishra said they were truly delighted to be part of the WEAM event as an expression of their strong encouragement and support for women entrepreneurs of Maldives.
Given the socio-cultural affinities and similarities between India and Maldives, there is need for greater sharing and exchange of ideas and experiences among women entrepreneurs of the two countries.
Ambassador Mishra assured that the embassy would be happy to provide all possible assistance and support to Maldivian business community.
He also warmly invited Maldivian entrepreneurs to share their ideas and suggestions to further people to people cultural and business ties between India and Maldives.
