PG withdraws the case against Qasim due to lack of evidence

Prosecutor General has withdrawn the case against Qasim due to lack of evidence. Qasim was charged for trying to bribe parliament members. Police sent a case to the PG requesting to charge him for trying to influence parliament members regarding the no confidence motion vote against parliament speaker Maseeh.

A letter sent to Ahmed Shafeeg a lawyer of Qasim states that PG has decided not to charge Qasim due to lack of evidence. However, Qasim is still being charged for a speech he gave at Kunooz saying that Qasim intended to bribe parliament members.

Qasim was arrested for investigation on 15thApril however the court has now freed him after setting some conditions.
