Moosa Naashid has been appointed as the deputy chairman of the Badminton World Federation’s council.
He was elected as a council member during the ongoing annual congress of the federation in Australia. A total of 11 members were elected to the council with Moosa. Even now Moosa is the chair of the Asian Badminton Development Committee.
Naashid will remain as a council member for four years. He used to be the number one badminton player of Maldives for a long time and has been working in developing the sport in Maldives since then.
