Indian Ambassador to Maldives Akhilesh Mishra have said that the search and rescue operation conducted to find the landing craft which was travelling from Kulhudhuhfushi to Laamu Atoll shows how close Maldives and India are.
He made this statement via a tweet while thanking the Indian Army for their assistance in finding the landing craft. He said that they have the spirit to help others while risking their own lives.
India is the closest ally of the Maldives and has a strong history of assisting Maldives during times of need.
