Akhilesh Mishra, Ambassador of India to Maldives hosted a dinner in honour of Maldivian Athletes and the Management at the Indian Cultural Centre on Sunday, 28th May, 2017 before their departure to India.
The Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India has agreed to provide training facilities to Maldivian Athletes from 1st June to 3rd July, 2017 at the Sports Authority of India, Bangalore before their participation in the 22nd Asian Athletics Championship (to be held in Bhubaneshwar, Odisha from 6th – 9th July 2017).
The Indian Government will be taking care of Maldivian Athletic team’s food, accommodation, Training facilities etc. under ITEC Programme.
