Maldives has severed diplomatic ties with Qatar. Maldives took this decision while earlier today Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Libya and Egypt also decided to cut their ties with Qatar.
A statement by the government of Maldives says that they have decided to cut ties with Qatar based on the counter terrorism policies of the government. Major gulf takes who severed diplomatic ties with Qatar says that Qatar is funding terrorist organizations like Muslim Brotherhood. They have also accused Qatar of assisting Iran.
Saudi Arabia has also suspended all forms of transport to and from Qatar while the national airline of UAE Etihad Airlines have stopped operating to Qatar.
