ACC have said that they will take action against Islamic Ministry for not evaluating the Hajj quota
Anti-Corruption Commission have said that they will take action against Islam Ministry for not evaluating the hajj quota.

The commission said that state institutions should obey the orders of ACC and they will take action against Islamic Ministry for not obeying the order.

While ACC ordered Islamic Ministry to reevaluate the companies that applied to get Hajj quota, Islamic Ministry has awarded it to Maldives Hajj Corporation, Al-Haramain Hajj and Umra Companies Maldives Private Limited, Sisilfaru Hajj and Umra Group and Zaee Hajj Group.

The ministry said that they made this decision because there is little time to arrange all the formalities and even airlines will face difficulties. They said that this was done in the best interest of the pilgrims. Hajj quotas were awarded to Maldives Hajj Corporation, Dharuma lil Hajji Val Umrathi Private Limited, Al-Haramain Hajj and Umra Company Maldives Private Limited, Kisva Private Limited, Sisilfaru Hajj and Umra group Private limited, and Zaee Hajj Group private limited.

However, one of the companies who applied to get Hajj quota filed a case to ACC saying that there was corruption involved in awarding quota.
