Islamic University of Maldives has stated that they will do whatever they can academically to eradicate terrorism from Maldives and the world.
The chancellor of IUM said that there is a rise in extremism because proper Islamic knowledge is not being spread and if it can be spread it will be possible to get rid of terrorism. Dr.Shaheem said that terrorism is widespread in the whole world and everyone should work together to save the world from terrorism. He said that IUM is working with all institutions to work against extremism.
On Thursday IUM and counter terrorism center of Maldives signed an agreement to work together in counter terrorism activities.
