Dr.Abdullah Shihaam have said that the prophet would weep if he were to witness today’s business practices.
While giving a religious lecture after Asr today, Dr.Shihaam said that businesses men should not increase price for Ramadan and that it is forbidden in Islam to increase prices when the demand goes up. Dr.Shihaam said that there should be no cheating with regards to weighing and measuring. He also said that transactions involving usury is also forbidden. He said that people continue to engage in such acts because they are distant from the Quran.
Dr.Shihaam said that the Quran provides clear instructions with regards to how Muslims should conduct business. He highlighted the importance of studying the Quran and acting upon it.
