US Ambassador to Maldives and Sri Lanka has met with the opposition to talk about the political situation in Maldives. Ambassador Atul Keshap met with the opposition today at Jumoohry Pary’s office.
The opposition shared the challenges they face with the ambassador. The ambassador said that the US wants Maldives to remain democratic and peaceful. He said that he is proud that US continues to assist Maldives.
In addition, he said that they are working to ensure political rights and to improve the living standard of the people. The American Ambassador also met with President Yameen yesterday.
