Islamic University of Maldives and Civil Service Commission of the Maldives has signed an a memorandum of understanding.
In a ceremony held at IUM’s hall, the chancellor of IUM Dr.Shaheem Ali Saeed signed on behalf of IUM while Dr.Ali Shameem the president of CSC signed on behalf of CSC.
The purpose of this agreement is to familiarize people attaining higher education with the workings of the CSC and to increase their capabilities. In addition, CSC will work with IUM to improve the quality of the courses conducted by both the institutions. The two institutions also agreed to conduct research and make the best use of the facilities at both the institutions.
Furthermore, CSC agreed to provide training for staffs of IUM depending on the availability of placements. IUM also agreed to allow staffs of CSC to take part in professional development courses conducted by IUM and to provide facilities of IUM to conduct programs of CSC.
Since the creation of IUM, the university has formed agreements with many state institutions, local and international organizations. IUM is the first and only Islamic university in the Maldives.
