Fenaka Corporation have stated that the changes in electric tariffs will be announced after Eid holidays. After the government decided to reduce the import duty on fuel, Fenaka has decided to reduce the electric tariff.
Speaking at a press conference held today, the MD of Fenaka Ahmed Shareef said that fuel is the main factor which determines the price of electricity and hence the reduction of fuel prices will be reflected in electricity price as well. He said that now they are discussing about it and the specifics will be revealed after Eid holidays.
“No we are talking with energy ministry and other relevant authorities. Once government is open after Eid, we will announce the prices” said Shareef.
Petrol was sold for 8.95 Rufiyaa previously while now it is being sold for 8.65 Rufiyaa per liter. Meanwhile price of diesel was reduced to 8.44 Rufiyaa from 8.95 rufiyaa per liter.
