Eid festivities in Male’ were well received among the public. Streets were filled with men, women, girls and boys.
Even though Eid is celebrated colorfully within the atolls, it is often not celebrated that much in Male’. This was the first time in recent history where Eid festivities were held in Male’ like this.
Some of the festivities include cultural items which have not been performed in Male’ for a long time.
The festivities were organized by Youth Ministry and NGOs.
