Chinese Ambassador to Maldives, Wang Fukang have said that the business relation between Maldives and Hong Kong are strengthening and that this benefits Maldives.
In a ceremony held at Hotel Jen last night to celebrate the Independence Day of Hong Kong, the ambassador said that the number of tourists visiting Maldives from Hong Kong is on the rise since Maldives is becoming more and more popular in Hong Kong.
In addition he said that, this has resulted in scheduled flights between Maldives and Hong Kong every week. The ambassador also said that once the free trade agreement between Maldives and Hong Kong is established, the economy of Maldives will benefit from it.
Furthermore the ambassador said that he believes that the strong relations between Hong Kong and Maldives will benefit people from both the nations.
