Home Minister Azleen Ahmed have said that the opposition is trying to impeach the speaker of the parliament because they are desperate. He said this in a tweet last night.

The opposition are saying that once the parliament reconvenes after recess they will submit a motion to impeach the speaker of the parliament.

MP for Thoddoo constituency Ibrahim Hassan tweeted yesterday saying that if enough members sign the motion to impeach the speaker, the law does not demand to take a vote and the speaker must resign immediately.
