Thimarafushi has incurred damages after heavy rainfall. The Vice President of Thimarafushi Council Ahmed Ibrahim said that many trees have fallen down.
In addition he said that the roof and the ceiling of the secretariat of Thimarafushi Council was damaged and many other electronic equipment in the office was damaged as well.
Even though it rained a lot last night, at the moment it is not raining according to the Councilor. The council is now monitoring the situation of the island. He also said that the airport also suffered some damages because of heavy rainfall.
