MP for Mahibadhoo constituency Ahmed Thoriq has been removed from the financial committee of the parliament.
In today’s parliament session speaker of the parliament announced that Thoriq has been replaced with MP Ahmed Rasheed of Gahdhoo constituency. In addition, Abdullah Ahmed of Thinadhoo constituency replaced MP for Nilandhoo Abdullah Khaleel in the committee. Furthermore MP Sinaan of Mahchangoalhi South was removed and MP Jameel Usmaan was appointed to the committee.
The other members of the committee are the chair of the committee MP Ahmed Nihaan, MP for Villifushi constituency Riyaz Rasheed, MP for Inguraidhoo constituency Ibrahim Falaah and MP for Villingili constituency Saud Hussein.
In addition, MDP PG leader Ibrahim Mohammed Solih (Ibu), MP Nashid of Kommandoo constituency, MP for Vaikaradhoo constituency Mohammed Nazim, MDP MP for Maradhoo constituency Ibrahim Shareed, MP for Kaashidhoo Faisal Naseem and MP for Kuda Huvadhoo Ahmed Amir.
Thoriq was removed from the financial committee during a time he has called for the resignation of Fisheries Minister Dr.Mohammed Shainee.
