JP leader Qasim Ibrahim have said that his determination cannot be shaken through intimidation.
Speaking at a rally held at Kunooz last night Qasim said that if many people are talking about oppression it is a matter of concern and the solution is reform. He said that even the Quran states that a situation can be changed only when people work for it.
Qasim said that reform activities in Maldives was not started by an individual but by many people. He said that since 1984 he has been taking part in reform activities. “ It is not me who will judge what I have done. That is for the people to do” said Qasim.
Qasim also thanked Maumoon for what he did for reform. “Even with all these challenges you are working for reform. Even if you are in the grave people will thank you for what you have done” said Qasim.
Qasim said that suspending the parliament is questionable and also questions arise whether this is going to be like how it was during the local council elections.
In addition Qasim said that everything will happen when it is time. He noted the importance of 42 as well. Many people believe that Qasim contributed immensely in reform activities. He also contributed in educating the young generation of Maldives.
