Former speaker of the parliament Abdullah Shahid have said that tyranny is not development and that tyranny will go backwards.
Speaking at a rally held by opposition tonight at M.Kunooz Shahid said that the Opposition coalition got 45 signatures because MP’s who took oath in the name of Allah could not bear the tyranny.
Shahid said that taking steps backwards due to fear, will not help in setting the country on the right course. He said that the situation of the country can be changed when everyone moves to the front.
Shahid said that they welcome those who newly joined the coalition and existing members of the coalition. Furthermore, he said that even though there is a constitution it is becoming more and more powerless and that it is a huge danger. He called everyone to work together to save Maldives from this danger.
