If imprisoned will work for the nation from jail : Abdullah Riyaz
Former Commissioner of Police and MP for Kinbidhoo constituency Abdullah Riyaz have said that if he is imprisoned, he will still work for the nation from jail.
Speaking at a rally held by the opposition tonight at Kunooz, Riyaz said that he is playing a key role in the current opposition movement and he is not doing this work because he is in debt to anyone and said that he is not in debt to anyone.
Riyaz said that he signed the motion to impeach the speaker of the parliament and he signed it to prevent all unlawful activities. In addition, he said that the signature by MP Ahmed Rasheed was valid and that the police can check for validity.
Riyaz also said that it is the responsibility of the relevant authorities and the president to reopen the case of colonel Nazim. He said that the Supreme Court also has the authority to review the case based on newfound evidence and the President should request the Supreme Court to do it. He said that it is also the responsibility of the PG.
Furthermore, he said that if the government fails in ensuring justice than it is tyranny and it is unacceptable.
