Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu have said that the construction work of CMF Bridge is going on as per the schedule and it is in fact one month ahead of the schedule. He said that if things go according to the plan the bridge will be opened by 26th July 2018.
Earlier today Housing Minister briefed media about the progress of the bridge. “By September 2018 the bridge can be opened for public. Our hope is to complete the bridge by 26th July 2018. For sure the bridge will be opened as contracted” said Dr.Muizzu.
In addition he said that if there is a toll on the bridge it will be affordable. “There should be no worries. It will be affordable if there is a fee. Government will not do something that will be a burden for the people. The purpose of the bridge is to make life easier for the people” said Housing Minister Muizzu.
Minister said that all concrete work of the bridge will be completed by the end of this year.
