Housing Minister Dr.Muizzu have said that the first I beam of CMF Bridge will be installed today.
I Beam installation is the first phase of the super structure of the bridge. The deck of the bridge will be fixed on I beams.
Speaking to the press after giving an update on the bridge, Dr.Muizzu said that the first I beam will be installed on Male’ side. He said that there will be 240 I beam segments on the bridge.
He said that the work of the bridge will go on as per the schedule. In addition, Dr.Muizzu said that the contract states that the bridge shall be completed by September 2018. However he said that the bridge will be completed by 26th July 2018.
