Veterans team of national volley team has visited an orphanage in Sri Lanka and provided aid. According to Volleyball Association the veterans team visited the orphanage in Gampaha, during the margins of the Siyane Tharoo International Volleyball tournament.
During the visit, the team provided financial assistance to the children and took part in a lunch with the children in the orphanage.
According to VAM, the veteran volleyball team and the officials took part in the event. Speaking to Miadhu News, Muhammad Shaafee from VAM said that the aid they provided was obtained from various institutions in Maldives. He said that before leaving for the tournament they called the orphanage and inquired about the type of assistance they need.
