CEO of MIFCO, Adlee Ismail have said that they are trying to open the ice plant in Addu City before the end of this year.
He said that the project has been delayed for various reasons and one of the reason include changing the location. He also said that they faced challenges in levelling the ground. He said that however the project is now going on. Adlee said that the generators and ice plants have now been completed.
The ice plant in Addu City will have the capacity to store 1500 tons of fish and also it can buy 100 tons of fish and sell 100 tons of fish according to Adlee. In addition he said that there will be a marina for fishermen in the ice plant.
