MP for Isdhoo constituency Ahmed Rasheed have said that he signed the motion to impeach Maseeh but he did not realize the magnitude of what he did.
Speaking at a press conference held by PPM today Ahmed Rasheed said that he signed because someone whom he considers as a father requested him to do so. He said that he realized what he did after signing it.
Ahmed Rasheed said that once he realized it he requested to recall his signature from the motion. However previously Ahmed Rasheed said that he did not sign it and the photo of him signing the petition is a doctored photo. “That is not my signature. Why should I sign it. I will not be someone who obstructs development of my constituency. The government is developing my constituency” said Rasheed.
The government is conducting various projects in Isdhoo. Some projects like sea cucumber farming has improved the livelihood of people.
