JP have said that even if the bench of the Criminal Court is changed, they hope to attain justice in the case of JP leader Qasim Ibrahim.
Registrar of JP Saud Ahmed said that a lot of people were shocked when the PG re-filed the case against Qasim. Saud said that in the last hearing when the lawyers from PG failed to appear before the court, it seemed as if the government did not want to continue the case.
On 10th July meetings related to Qasim’s case was conducted three times. PG lawyers attended three meetings but they did not attend the last meeting at 7:00 pm.
The three lawyers presiding over the case ruled that the case has been thrown out of the court because the PG lawyers failed to appear before the court.
The case was headed by Chief Judge of the Criminal Court Abdul Baary. However Abdul Baary and Judge Shakeel were transferred to other courts.
