Leader of JP, Qasim Ibrahim have said he is sure that the Supreme Court will not issue an unconstitutional ruling.
Speaking at a rally held at by the opposition tonight, Qasim spoke about the case filed by AG Anil to the Supreme Court requesting to issue a ruling which will result in parliament members losing their seats if they cross the floor.
Qasim said that the case filed by Anil is not in accordance with the constitution and it will weaken the constitution. Qasim also noted that the secretariat of the parliament has still not announced the date and time of the session of the parliament after 45 parliament members submitted a censure motion against the speaker of the parliament.
Qasim Ibrahim said that it is important to know the date of the session since many members are abroad. He said that he is sure that the secretory general of the parliament will act in accordance with the law.
