Criminal Court hands over documents related to Qasim’s case

Leader of JP, Qasim Ibrahim was summoned to the Criminal Court today for a pre-trial meeting and documents related to the trial have been handed over to him.

The court has not announced the time of the next hearing. Even this time, the state is charging him for offering bribes and basing the charges on the speech given by Qasim at Kunooz asking former JP MPs to join JP again. During that speech Qasim said that if they join the party, they will get back the positions they had within the party and also will help in getting re-elected.

The PG is considering this as offering bribes. However it should be noted that the PG never charged other politicians who made similar statements.
