Criminal Court has scheduled the first hearing of The Leader of JP, Qasim Ibrahim’s trial at 8:30 pm tomorrow night and have sent a summon order to Qasim.
On 10th July, Qasim’s case was thrown out of the court when PG lawyers failed to appear at the court. However, on 12th July PG re-filed the case. Documents related to the case were handed over to Qasim today at 10:00 am during a pre-trial meeting.
Trials conducted in similar fashion by the Criminal Court resulted in 11 to 13 year long sentences to those convicted.
