Opposition requests a judicial review of the recent verdict by Supreme Court on parliament members losing their seats .
Opposition Lawyers has called the Supreme Court to conduct a judicial review of the recent verdict by Supreme Court on parliament members losing their seats.

Speaking at a press held tonight at Kunooz, lawyer Hisaan Hussein said that the constitution states things that cannot be changed from a new law even and hence expelling parliament members is of that nature.

Hisan said that the constitution states when and how the constitution can be amended and hence no one can amend the constitution outside of these procedures. In addition she said that once of the most worrying issue is that Supreme Court issued the verdict without allowing parliament members to join the case. She said that, it was also an unprecedented move.

Lawyer Mohammed Waheed said that he does not believe that any member will lose their seats based on the Supreme Court verdict. He said that if the parliament decides that a member is no longer a member they will file the case at the Supreme Court and win it.
