Abdullah Kamaaludheen have said that there will be no one who wishes ill on Qasim Ibrahim.
Abdullah Kamaluhdheen said that if Qasim abandons politics there will be no enmity between him and anyone. He said that Qasim would be everyone’s friend then.
“He treats everyone in a way that everyone will love him. Hence it will be very easy for him to stay that way. However, people do not want him to stay away from politics. They want Qasim to be with us” said Abdullah.
In addition, he said that majority of the Maldivians want Qasim to get treated and to be in good health. Kamaludheen expressed concerns because the court has ordered his passport to be withheld. “He is not someone who will flee. We are sure that he will return after treatment” said Kamaaluhdheen.
Speaking about Qasim Ibrahim’s services to the nation, Abdullah Kamaaluhdheen said that he served the nation pretty well. He said that Qasim started providing financial assistance for higher education in the year 2000. Kamaaluhdheen said that he faced challenges while doing that as well but continued to do it.
In addition, he said that Qasim served in many areas. “He provided fishing boats for many people. Each boat creates job opportunities for 30 people” said Kamaluhdheen.
He said that hence lot of people support Qasim. Kamaaluhdheen said that, it is the reason why many people voted for Qasim Ibrahim in addition to the members in JP.
