JP Leader Qasim Ibrahim’s health has deteriorated and the doctors have advised him to do a special scan of the heart.
The cardiologist of ADK have advised Qasim to do a scan which is not available in Maldives and the doctor advised to do the scan urgently. Qasim’s heart beat is unstable and he has some respiratory problems as well. The doctor also noted that Qasim is suffering from pneumonia.
Even specialists at Medica advised Qasim to seek treatment abroad. However immigration prevented him from leaving the country saying that the court issued a travel ban. Qasim’s lawyer Hisaan Hussein said that they have requested the court to issue permission for Qasim to leave the country.
Qasim’s lawyers noted that Qasim has been facing health problems after he was detained in Dhoonidhoo in a room without proper ventilation. Even during that time lawyers requested to change his jail cell. Even the Criminal Court ordered to do so however police refused to obey the order.
