Will eliminate fear from the country – will stop corruption and theft: Maumoon

Former President Maumoon have said that Maldivians are living in fear and that he will eliminate fear from the country and also stop corruption and theft.

Speaking to the press after the meeting held at Kunooz last night, Maumoon said that the law states that a parliament member will not lose the seat even if that member is removed from the party. He said that hence a parliament member will not lose the seat based on how the member votes in the parliament.

Maumoon said that the opposition will win the vote against the speaker of the parliament and once they are done with it they will start correcting all other wrongs in the country. He said that the opposition has planned and agreed upon these plans.

In addition, Maumoon said that all foreign ambassadors designated to Maldives are supporting Maumoon’s cause. He said that foreign countries are well aware of where the people stand. Maumoon also said that even though the four opposition leaders are in different situations right now, they are working together.
